Great for dinner and celebrations

Sticky rice with Chinese sausage, steamed in bamboo leaves

Tender, savory perfection

This popular roomy, second-floor restaurant is located in a strip mall on L'Acadie Boulevard in Ahuntsic. It specializes in Cantonese cuisine, and serves a diverse Dim Sum every day as well. It has the convenience of a big parking area, and is often full on weekends.

It is a great restaurant for your Chinese food cravings, especially when you don't want to drive all the way down to Chinatown. It's also a great place for a late meal, with an average closing time of 11:00 and 3:00am on Fridays and Saturdays. The restaurant occupies 2/3 of the second floor, and large windows all around the restaurant provide lots of light. Because of the size of the room, it is often used for birthday dinners, wedding receptions, and group celebrations.

The menu is diverse, with dishes to suit every taste and budget. The staff are friendly, and always ready to give meal suggestions.

We've visited on many occasions, for both their Dim Sum and for dinner. There's a big selection of Dim Sum dishes, and service is fast and efficient. There are enough trolleys circulating to feed the hungry crowds that frequent the restaurant. Their shrimp dumplings are delicious, and their shui mai's are meaty & juicy. It's not unusual to have to wait for a table on most weekends, but have patience, it does not take long before you are seated and eating.

For dinner, there's a huge variety of meat, seafood, rice and noodle dishes. The quintessential Cantonese Chow Mein is excellent. Slices of chicken and pork are stir fried with vegetables, shrimp, and calamari. The noodles are fried till crispy, then the gravy from the sauteed seafood, meat, and vegetables is poured over it.

The Singapore noodles are also tasty and satisfying. Thin rice noodles are fried with curry, bean sprouts, shrimp and thin slices of chicken. The platter is endless !

Their lobster is famous, and is often ordered whenever there is a group dinner. The lobster is expertly cut up into edible pieces. There are never any annoying fragments of shell to ruin your meal. Sauteed with ginger and shallots, each piece is seasoned to perfection.

Their crispy skinned chicken is amazingly crispy on the outside, yet tasty and tender on the inside. Try the deep fried spicy chili chicken. Pieces of marinated chicken are deep fried and tossed with chili peppers and garlic. It's a great dish to have with a cold beer.

For dessert, there is a complimentary Chinese dessert of warm silken tofu served with a sweet gingery syrup. There might be sliced oranges as well. However, if a coffee/tea and dessert are what you crave instead, there's a great dessert place just next door, Cremino.

This is our standby place for good Chinese food. Its convenient hours, available parking, and friendly staff make it one of our favorite Chinese restaurants in Montreal.
