We were introduced to this gem of a Chinese restaurant by a fellow foodie.  Located inside of a mall on St. Urbain Street in Chinatown, it's just across the street from the Guy Favreau building.  It is located on the ground floor as you enter the mall.  Upstairs in the same mall is another Chinese restaurant, Kim Fung, which is also featured in this website.

The restaurant is simply decorated, but the tables are clean and the service is quick and friendly.   It serves amazingly authentic food at fantastic prices.  It has become our favorite go-to place whenever we're in Chinatown.

On our last visit, we ordered the 2-meat lunch special on rice.   From the duck, pork, and chicken selections, we chose the roast duck and the roasted pork.  The platters came quickly, with the meats were served fresh from their own cooked meat counter across the hallway.  The meat was served with sauteed Shanghai bok choy, and laid on top of a mound of white rice.   On top of everything was a very tasty topping of sauteed green onions.  There was just nothing else we needed after the meal.

On another occasion, we tried their Roast Duck soup, and their Bitter Melon with Beef on Rice Noodles.  Both were ample, and delicious.  The bitter melon platter was enough for two people.  Bitter melon is sauteed with beef slices with a bit of black bean and garlic, and then served on top of thick rice noodles.  The Roast Duck soup

was served quickly, with lots of slices of duck and noodles in a steaming broth.  Pieces of bok choy were also in the broth.

They also serve hot and cold drinks, so you can get your milk teas or bubble teas here as well.  Their lunch specials offer a variety of dishes and all include your choice of beverage.   It's a great deal, all for well under $10.

As an extra, their cooked meat counter across the hallway is a great place to pick up some meat to bring home.  The meat is prepared fresh every day, and regularly sell out.

It's a great lunch spot, and is a fantastic place for a quick and affordable meal.  That being said, you are not rushed to sit down, eat, and leave.  Tables are well spaced, the restaurant is bright, and the staff is friendly.

If you want to have some authentic Chinese dishes, with the feel of a tearoom in Hong Kong or China, this is the place for you.
