Located in a new mall on Henri Bourassa (above Marcel Laurin)

Flaky French variation (and improvement) of the apple turnover

A window display of fine French pastries and cakes to tempt you
Although this bakery is a franchise with many locations throughout Montreal, we have to say that the recently opened location on Henri Bourassa in Ville St. Laurent has to be our favorite. As soon as you walk through the front doors, you are amazed by the immensity of the bakery.

Besides the obvious baked goods and decadent French pastries, there are cheeses and cured meats that are available for sale. Preserved jams and jellies line the shelves in the center of the vast room, and beautiful chocolates and delicate cookies are displayed to tempt you. The freezer section offers dough and ready-to-bake treats that you can bring home. We've bought their frozen croissants, and they rise to double their size overnight, and bake up beautifully. Prepared meals and sandwiches are available for purchase, and can be eaten either on site or taken out.

The bread and baked goods section welcomes you as you step into the bakery, with wonderful breads, danishes, pies, and incredible croissants. Some of our favorites are the apricot danishes, the chocolate chip falouse twists, a French variation of the apple turnover, and flaky chocolatines.
The French pastry section tempts you to break all your diets with all their amazing pastries and cakes, full of whipped cream and mousse. You've just got to enjoy one of their amazing eclairs -- it's like eating a cloud. We try hard to walk by without looking, but those desserts keep drawing us in.

We love coming here whenever we feel like spoiling ourselves. The atmosphere is friendly and unrushed. There's an area where there are a few sofas, and serve as gathering places for many people. The dining area is spacious and clean, and the floor-to-ceiling windows bring in lots of natural lighting. It's just a really nice place to languish, and enjoy the perks of being a Montreal foodie. Enjoy !
