Madison's has always been an old standby for us.  Whether it be for a celebration, or a simple meal, this restaurant has never disappointed us.   Its comfortable, roomy dining room provides a very nice atmosphere, and the staff is warm and friendly.

There are always good specials running, whether it be daily features or the great 1/2 rack baby back rib special.

There are many locations scattered throughout the island of Montreal, with more located in Laval, Rosemere, St. Bruno, and the Southshore.   There's even one now in Ottawa, Ontario, so give them a try.  We usually frequent the one located in Dollard des Ormeaux, a big standalone building in the Marché de l'Ouest mall.   There's never a problem with parking.

Their menu offers a good selection of salads, appetizers, meats, pasta, and seafood, and they're open for lunch and dinner.   There are burgers and sandwiches for those light-eaters, and then there are the steaks and roast beefs for those carnivorous types.  We've enjoyed their roast prime rib many times, and it is almost thick, tender, and juicy.  Served with potatoes of your choice and a side of deliciously prepared vegetables, it's a complete meal.

They offer several salads, and they're plentiful.  We've had their seared yellowfin tuna salad, and is always a consideration.  It is deliciously encrusted with sesame seeds, and slightly seared so that the core is still pink and tender.  The salad is dressed with a savory lime-ginger dressing, and topped with a mango/avocado salsa.  This is a healthy and fulfilling meal, whether it be for lunch or dinner.

 

The Mediterranean chicken breast entrée is moist and flavorful, and a favorite when we come.   Our favorite by far is their baby back ribs.  Combined with their cole slaw and delicious fries, a half rack is more than enough.  If they're on special on the night you visit, order them.   You won't be sorry.

If you've got room for dessert, make sure to order their carrot cake.  It's multi-layered and super moist, with a rich cream cheese frosting.   It's perfect for sharing after a big dinner.
